Costume Design
Costume design for the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Richard Burton Company.
Shakespeare's play explored the theme of 'Power' and what could happen if the wrong person is in charge of society. With some major upcoming elections, it felt really important to Jonathan, Ruby and me to create a recognisable political world on stage. Heavily influenced by American politics, I took inspiration from political rallies, cabinet meetings and press conferences. It was really important for the costumes to communicate people's place in society.
When the audience entered the auditorium, they were met with a political rally on stage in order to instantly transport them into our version of Rome.
