When Alan Brody’s award-winning play made its UK premiere at Southwark Playhouse Elephant, my role of costume design intern involved working closely with the costume designer to understand her vision. I went to several costume hire stores to source options for the fittings with the actors. I assisted the costume designer during fittings, organising the clothes and taking fitting notes. After fittings, I organised the returns of the hires. I also helped with alterations and general organisation of all of the costumes.
